I developed this recipe while in Culinary School when I lived in Cincinnati. My baking class final called for use to create and make a cake. Chocolate cake is a favorite of mine and I wanted to create one that was moist, rich and the darkest chocolate flavor.
My inspiration was Red Wine. They say red wine pairs beautifully with chocolate so I took a shot. I definitely earned an “A” for the course! I hope you enjoy!
